INTRODUCING
There's two adults and two little boys of 7 and 5 years old in our family. We are both teachers, in the University and in the Vocational College.
About Our Home
Our house has been built around 1880-1910 in two different time and it's been partly renovated to meet the modern standards. We have chosen to keep it still very nostalgic and old-fashioned, very cottage-like with exposed and darkened wooden walls and ceiling in the living room, old windows, traditional insulation etc. The kids love the house and the garden, with lots of space to play and run - also the pets are welcome to our house! We have a large sand pit with lots of toys in the front yard for little children too. Our garden is a bit wild and colourful, nothing is geometrical, but lush and rambling in its own way. We have used different kind of stones to add the effect, some of them has been brought from our travels! There's a large sitting room (with dining table) in the house, satellite-tv with some European channels + CNN etc., stereos, dvd, VCR, board games, a piano to play, lots of books also in English to read. The master bedroom has a large double bed (180x200), the children's room has a comfortable bunk bed for even bigger kids. We can arrange also double bed instead of it for adults. So the house can accommodate 4-5 people, but there's also a sofabed for an extra visitor, if needed. The kids have a fresh water aquarium in their room, but that doesn't need any special care during the holiday, as we use an automatic feeder and lighting. We have also a comfortable sauna, two showers and heated floor in the shower room, washing machine; all the modern appliances in our house. Our stove is ceramic (electric, not gas), but there's also an barbecue possibility in the garden. There's also a good selection of cooking and baking utensils, as we love eating! There are two hybrid bicycles and also kids' bikes. We have also a rowing boat, though when we are writing this, it is on dry land, though there's a good and possible lake nearby (about 500 meters away). Most likely we'll transfer the boat into that shore, so it is available then. There's also lots of raspberries, black-, red-, green- and whitecurrants in our garden (July), they are in your use! Also we have a small green house (plastic) with tomatoes, cucumbers and salads.

Our Location
The house is located in a small village about 10 kilometres from the town, in a rural area. The nearest house is about 800 m away, so it is very private. Nearest city with excellent shopping and restaurants, museums and other sights is about 50 kms away (just about half an hour drive away); the city of Tampere. Our car Citroën Xsara Picasso DSL is also available, as car is necessary in this area. There's a main line train station as well as the bus station in the town.

Other Comments
Our dream destination would be Italy, but we're open for suggestions from elsewhere from Europe! Our family has historical interests, so that would be lovely to combine with our travels! The dates are from June to the end of July (1-2 weeks), as the schools start again in the beginning of August.
