INTRODUCING
My wife and I are moving to Adelaide for at least six months with work, leaving behind our recently-renovated home on Macleay Island, only 70 metres from Moreton Bay. We hope to find a retired couple who would like to spend some time on a sub-tropical island. The house sleeps six comfortably. There is a car to get around the island. Most people keep another car on the mainland for transport, though that is up to you. We have a small dog that is completely house trained and a much loved member of the household. My wife is a very keen gardener who really misses her roses. (Apparently they don't do very well up here.) So if you have a big garden to look after, she would be delighted. We hope to find someone willing to spend at least five months in our home, but would consider shorter stays.
About Our Home
Recently renovated, open plan home with large deck on three sides overlooking the bay. The kitchen features all gas cooking and everything you need for a comfortable relaxed lifestyle. The floors are all timber for easy maintenance. We have all new appliances. Everything you would need for cooking, cleaning and entertaining. There is a king size, a queen size and two single beds. All good quality. The main guest room overlooks the bay. The garden is low maintenance. Our neighbours are terrific.

Our Location
Living on an island takes a little adjustment for some. There are two small supermarkets, pharmacy, medical centre, restaurants, bowls club, golf club, and a few other small shops. I'm told the fishing is good but I've never caught anything! There is public transport from the Redland Bay Ferry Terminal to Victoria Point Shopping Centre, Cleveland, Capalaba, the City of Brisbane and the Gold Coast is less than an hour by car.
