INTRODUCING
Naomi and husband Alan are enjoying being empty nesters. Their children are prospering elsewhere. They love to travel. Naomi loves to pray and always looks for opportunities to connect with and encourage others in their Christian faith walk. They love to live simply, so that all may simply live. They grow most of their own food, keep sheep and goat, and love their home and community. Naomi works part time in professional social work and Alan as a lawyer. They wonder how to serve God with their coming retirement years. Naomi loves growing local, national and international social work for students and practitioners.
About Our Home
The cottage is comfortable and cosy. We aim to live sustainably and have recycled materials in building it. The neighbours include various flora and fauna. We have worked hard to foster a bird sanctuary. We are surrounded by river flats and dairying country. Our locality is family friendly, is very private and quiet. The night sky is spectacular. The air is fresh. The nearest surf is 7km away at Shoalhaven Heads. People come from all over the world to learn to surf at 7 Mile beach which is 17km away. There is a boat ramp 400m away to access the waterways which have great fishing. We have an orchard, herb and vegetable garden and pet animals. There is a winery next door. The Shoalhaven is a beautiful tourist destination.

Our Location
We are accessible by public transport with several daily bus services passing by 380 metres from the property. They go between Shoalhaven Heads, the railway station and Nowra which is the largest town in the Shoalhaven. The railway station, Bomaderry is 7.5km away. Trains to Sydney take 3 hours and depart regularly, ie hourly during peak hours and every 2 hours off peak. Our home is on the confluence of the Shoalhaven River and Broughton Creek. People come from all over to fish here. It is a mountain stream entering a coastal estuary.
