INTRODUCING
Our family includes the 4 of us; our 2 daughters, Emily and Kathleen, aged 17 and 19, my husband, Mark, a Superintendent at a utility construction company, and myself, Elizabeth, an elementary music and Special Education teacher. We are particularly interested in exploring the UK and Ireland. We look forward to visiting historic castles and museums, and being surrounded by beautiful scenery. We particularly like the idea of sharing our home with a family who would respect it the same way we would respect theirs.
About Our Home
Our home is large and spacious and is perfect for a family or would suit a group of adults, with 4 large bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms on 3 levels, has a large kitchen with European appliances and centre island, main floor laundry room, living room with 21 foot ceiling has a fireplace, recreation room on lower level with a wide screen TV and Xbox for the kids, a deck at the rear of the house for eating outdoors. Master bedroom on main floor has a beautiful ensuite bathroom with soaker tub and large shower. Our home is on a one-acre lot with lots of room for playing, and is located on a quiet street on the edge of the village. Our Location
We are located in mid-western Ontario in the midst of farms and Amish/Mennonite country, a pleasant, easy drive to many popular summer and winter attractions; 10 km from the town of Wingham with grocery stores, clothing shops and restaurants as well as a rec centre with pool, ice surface and gym, 25 km from beautiful Lake Huron (swimming, boating, camping, beautiful sand beaches, boutique shopping) and several Provinvcial Parks, 40 min from Kitchener-Waterloo, 1 hour from Stratford (superior live theatre, shops, restaurants) and the city of London, 2 hrs from Toronto, 3 hrs from the Muskokas and cottage country, and 2 hrs from the Blue Mountains ski/mountain biking area. We are a 2 hour drive from the US border.

Other Comments
We attend worship services at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Wingham, where our family often contributes to the music for services. We find the community very friendly and safe, and many children play freely in the park, at the basketball/street hockey pad, and ride bikes around the village. During the 3rd week of August, Vacation Bible School is offered in the mornings for kids aged 4-13 at the United Church here in Belgrave. We have not exchanged homes before, but hope it will provide an economical way for our kids to experience Europe or the UK, and think that our home is well located for a family to travel 2-3 hours or less within central Ontario and experience varied and fantastic attractions-museums, amusement parks, farmer's markets, conservation areas, water and extreme sports, music festivals, camping, live theatre, the Niagara winery region and Niagara Falls, the city of Toronto, the ferry to Manitoulin Island.
