INTRODUCING
We are a young family consisting of H , E and our children aged 11, 9 and 4 years old. A few years ago we were lucky to stay at our friends' flat in Edingburgh for our holiday while they were on a mission trip in the United States and we enjoyed being in a real home instead of a hotel. We have had five homeswaps after that and enjoyed all of them very much. We are particularly interested in English speaking countries since our children grow up speaking German and English. However we are open to offers for other destinations. Next to our house we keep a few chickens, so fresh eggs will be provided to you.
About Our Home
Summers in Germany can be very hot and autumn usually has some very nice and sunny days in store in our area! Our house is located in a village with about 2000 inhabitants. We have a nice garden and there is off-road parking. It is rather spacious with 220 m². In Winter, there are many lovely Christmas markets in our Region.

Our Location
We live near Bingen and Ingelheim, both towns on the Rhine with historic roots reaching to the middle ages and some interesting relicts of that time. We enjoy to take our children to the river banks where they can play in the sand or walk through vineyards and orchard. From our home it takes you a 10 minute ride by car to get to the river. Many tourists come to our area to visit the castles on the Rhein, see the famous Loreley, visit the Niederwalddenkmal on the other side of the river, shop in Frankfurt, visit Cologne or see the Mainzer Dom. It is a great area for biking and hiking.

Other Comments
As we have three young children, our home offers books, DVDS and toys for children. We are non-smokers and prefer if our guests would not smoke in the house. For our guests we will provide a brochure on our home, information about the area and phone numbers of our friends who are ready to help and give more information if needed. There is a Baptist Church within a ten minute car ride from our home, which will give you a warm welcome. Due to allergies we can only consider swapping to homes without dogs or cats.
