INTRODUCING
Hello! We are a family of 5. Margaret and Chris being Mum and Dad, and 3 children aged 19, 16 and 13. Chris is a secondary school music teacher (Saxophone, Clarinet + music technology). Margaret is a registered nurse. We are a careful, conscientious, honest family who are eager to experience house swapping within New Zealand and also Australia initially. We attend Northgate Baptist church. We live in a beautiful area of New Zealand called the Hibiscus Coast which is about 25 minutes drive from the Auckland Central Business District. There are 14 lovely beaches in our area. The Hibiscus Coast is well known in NZ as being a holiday destination with many attractions. It is a lovely place to visit all year round!
About Our Home
Our home is a spacious 4 bedroom beach house/family home of 3 stories. It is an elevated, north facing, warm, sunny home. The top two stories have views looking down over part of Stanmore Bay. The uppermost story has the master bedroom with ensuite and separate toilet, and another bedroom. Both of these bedrooms open out to a sunny deck where you can sit and see/hear/smell the sea! The middle level has an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area which flows out to another north facing deck (where you can also see the sea). This deck has an outside table and chairs which is lovely for Summer dining. This middle level has 2 more bedrooms and bathroom plus another separate toilet. We have woodburner for winter-time.

Our Location
We live at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Our neighbours are lovely. We have wonderful access (2 mins walk down steps via a close public accessway) to the beautiful Stanmore Bay. This is a long, north facing beach that is safe for swimming. Also wonderful for long walks all year around. The beach has lovely large pohutukawa trees that provide ample shade in Summer. We are within 4-5 minutes walk to a wonderful Leisure Centre that runs 70 fitness classes per week, has a full gym, also Badminton and Squash courts, and swimming pools. We are 10-15 minutes pleasant walk to a shopping centre that has an excellent selection of shops. This includes cafes/restaurants/takeaways, a supermarket, movie theatre. We are 5 mins walk to public transport (bus). 5 mins walk away there is lovely playground for both younger kids and older ones, also sports fields and skate park.

We have a 2 plus person Kayak that can be wheeled to the beach on our trolley in 5 minutes. We have life jackets available. We have bikes available with helmets. We have a large trampoline with safety net, which the kids love. We have badminton and squash racquets available. Being a holiday area there are many attractions - Many other beaches, Shakespear Park (a regional reserve 10km away), hot pools 15 mins drive away, Snow Planet, Go Karting, cycle/walking pathway around Orewa Estuary, many other local walking pathways, good local fishing spot, marine reserve 1 hour's drive away... This is wonderful area to bring children on a family holiday! Chris being a teacher, has regular holidays, so we are well placed to do homeswaps! Our family would look after your home with absolute care!
