INTRODUCING

I have a family home that is situated in the quaint town of Avalon on beautiful Catalina Island. The home is 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchen. This cute beach cottage is 2 blocks to the beach and Front Street. The town of Avalon is a popular tourist destination. We are part of Los Angeles county so the weather is typical for Southern California. We attend the Avalon Community Church. They have 2 services each Sunday with a breakfast served between services to welcome visitors and regulars with fellowship.

About Our Home

Homes in Avalon are generally small and cozy. The living room gets the sun each morning to brighten up the day and there is a gas fireplace for cooler nights. Bright with plenty of windows. Children are welcome, but there is no yard, as is typical for Catalina Island. One bedroom has 1 queen bed and the other has 2 queen beds. One bathroom has a tub. There is a washer and dryer.

Our Location

The beach is only 2 short blocks away. Town is very compact everything within easy walking distance. Most restaurants and shops are along Crescent (Front Street). This area is pedestrian traffic only for 3 blocks. Grocery stores are 2 blocks away and another one 5 blocks. Movie theatre is a 10 minute walk along the waterfront.

Other Comments

Catalina Island is reached by boat or helicopter. Catalina Express has boats that leave from Long Beach, San Pedro and Dana Point. The boat takes an hour from Long Beach; San Pedro and Dana Point about 20 minutes longer. The Catalina Flyer boat leaves from Newport Beach; 1 1/2 hour trip. Island Express helicopter is a 15 minute ride and leaves from near the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
