INTRODUCING
Hello, I'm a confessional Lutheran woman who lives in Oslo. My apartment is a nice and cozy one-bedroom apartment just a couple of minutes walk to the closest Metro station (7 mins away from the City centre). The livingroom was refurbished in 2012 and contains a super nice and brand new wood stove which makes cold Winter evenings very nice. Also, you find a comfortable sofa which unfolds to a double bed. The kitchen is (over-)fully equipped and the bathroom has a heated floor. In the summer you can enjoy your dinner on the veranda.
About Our Home
Everyone who comes to visit says the atmosphere is very good in my apartment. The livingroom was refurbished in 2012 and contains a brand new and very efficient wood stove which is the perfect company on a cold, Nordic Winter evening. You also find an electric piano and a TV in the livingroom. Late Summer nights are better spent on the veranda. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is fresh, as in many Norwegian homes, the bathroom floor is heated. I live there as a single woman so in terms of beds, there is my comfy bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the livingroom which can be turned in to a double bed. Also, I have a travel cot for babies which can be borrowed and an extra mattress if a bigger child or another grown up is in need of sleeping space.

Our Location
The neighbourhood is very calm. It is a ten minute walk to the closest grocery store, twenty minutes to walk to a mall and a couple of minutes to go the the nearest Metro station which takes you to the centre of Oslo in 7 minutes. Just outside of the apartment building you find several exciting playgrounds for toddlers / young children and several big barbecue/relaxing areas (no need to bring your own barbecue) :-) Enjoy!

Other Comments
Oslo is a small and friendly capitol. You can easily use a car but the easiest way to get around is by public transportation. Oslo is the perfect city for combining city life and rural holidays. The Metro takes you into the woods / mountains, the buses take you to beautiful beaches and the ferries take you to luscious islands... All on the same ticket! Also in the city centre you will find nice coffee shops, lively streets and beautiful architecture. Oslo is a must-see but unfortunately it's quite expensive so I will recommend you to try out a home exchange :-)
