About Our Home
Family friendly home, very spacious and light. 3 floors with 2 bedrooms on each upper floor, all en-suite. Ideal for a family with smaller children as we have a toddler bed and a cot. Also good for a couple just wanting some space. We have air conditioning in every room, ideal for Cambodia’s hot and humid days. We have a king sized bed in the master bedroom and a sofa bed in the office/spare bedroom. We also have the aforementioned toddler bed and cot. There is a large kitchen with dining table and high chair if needed. We have gas burners, electric countertop oven, slow cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. We have a large washing machine located in the back yard. There is no garden as such but we have quiet streets and a park within the community, 2 mins walk away.

Our Location
We are near the end of a terraced row and live in a secure community with 24/7 security. We have a lovely neighbour who speaks very good English who is happy to help with anything. We are within easy tuk tuk distance of many local amenities and attractions as well as having a convenience store within the grounds next to the kids park, about 2 mins walk away. Tourist attractions like Russian market and lots of cafes and restaurants are 10 mins tuk tuk drive away. We are close to Cheung Ek, the genoside memorial museum, and the riverside, located on the Mekong, with royal palace and museum are about 20 mins away. There is a Japanese mall with cinema and western food/shops about 20 mins ride away, but plenty of local shops and restaurants in between. Phnom Penh sports club is 5 mins drive away with swimming pool and gym. We are close to the national road that in 2-3 hours will get you to the beach. We have a moto that is optional to use too.

Other Comments
It may be a capital city but Phnom Penh has a ‘small town’ feel. You can get anywhere in a tuk tuk and there is lots to do in the surrounding area. It can be a good base to travel a bit further within the country too. Raining season is around Jun-Nov where it obviously rains, but generally it is a short sharp shower in the afternoon. It is hot and sunny all year round. Khmer people are exceptionally friendly and English is the emerging second language, you don’t have to go too far to find people who can speak some. There is a good expat community also and several English speaking churches around if you wish to visit some during your stay.
