INTRODUCING
My wife and are commited christians and are kept busy by raising two preschoolers: Anna, our three and a half year old girl, loves the outdoors and climbing trees, and Jack, our one and a half year old, loves anything that makes noise, and tries hard to keep up with Anna! In our spare moments we run two companies, a scaffolding and a construction company. My wife, Teresa enjoys reading, gardening, and walking in scenic areas. I, Nick, enjoy all the water has to offer and snowboarding. We both enjoy sleep but don't get enough of it! We have worked hard to create a nice haven here in our home, and would strive hard to look after yours. None of us are smokers.
About Our Home
Our lovely sunny and warm family home is the perfect place to unwind, play with the kids, entertain and enjoy yourself. The house itself retains its initial cottage feeling with its quaint crossed windows, however feels completely new inside as it was fully renovated recently. Our home has three bedrooms: the master bedroom has a semi ensuite and looks over the front garden and enjoys lovely morning sun, the other two bedrooms look over our back garden and entertaining area, and enjoy full afternoon sun. Currently we have one king bed and two singles (cot or portacot available) The bathroom has underfloor heating, separate shower and heated towel rails. The living areas are split by a few steps. The family/dining and kitchen are open plan and enjoy views over the front garden through the large bay window. It is warm and inviting, enjoying morning to early afternoon sun, and brightens up the start of your day. Down the few steps is a large lounge area which flows straight onto the deck and grass lawn. This room is sunny sunny sunny. The indoor outdoor flow in this property is fantastic. Huge 40 sq metre deck with gas bbq, flows flat onto an equally enormous landscaped garden and grassed lawn. Lush tropical plantings surround the section enhancing the outdoor experiences waiting to be explored. The 50 plus year old oak tree is the perfect place to enjoy the shade on those hot summer days, or to take a swing from the ‘traditional’ tractor tyre swing underneath. For the inner child in you (or the actual kids!) there is lots more to move onto: the large hexagonal trampoline, and excellent climbing tree! Help yourself to any fruit and vege's which may be produced at the time of stay. At the front of the section is a large parking pad with comfortable room for one car, as well as the large driveway space. As we are a family home, we have lots of childrens toys to use, as well as car seats available

Our Location
Red beach is part of the Hibiscus Coast, a beautiful coastal area just north of Auckland City (the largest city of New Zealand population 1.4 million). Separated from the city centre by only 25mins the Hibiscus Coast has the advantage of being close enough so one can experience all the city has to offer, as well as enjoying rural countryside, 14 different beaches within a 15 min drive , and the more relaxed pace of a seaside area. Although the Hibiscus Coast is removed from Auckland City, it still has all the amenities one would want, including movie theatres, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, fashion shopping, Snow centre and go carting centre etc. Within a five minute walking distance from the house itself, is a small shopping complex containing fast food outlets, a corner store, hairdresser, dvd store, liquor store, petrol station, pub and pharmacy. In the other direction, also within a five minute walk, are three separate children play areas/parks, and two beaches (Red Beach and Orewa). Named after the colourful sand and shells collected there, Red beach is approximately 1 km long and quiet enough that often you can walk the length of it without seeing another soul. Beautiful pohutakawa trees line the foreshore, and the sun rises over the water, making this a magic spot early in the morning. On the other side of the hill is Orewa Beach. This is a longer beach approximately 3 km long, and is great for taking walks on. Both beaches have surf life savers to help keep those kids safe, although both beaches are very calm and safe. New Zealand is separated into two Islands. Both enjoy amazing scenery and it has been said to have some of the best in the world. New Zealand has many attractions including fantastic skiing/snowboarding, caving, fishing/diving, boating, white water rafting, tramping, and much more. The majority of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy was filmed in New Zealand, and it would be well worth your time taking a short flight to the South Island to tour and visit these areas. Also within short flying distance are many Pacific Islands (Fiji, Hawaii, Samoa, Vanuatu, etc) awaiting that tropical getaway. Do some internet searches on New Zealand and you will see as we have that it is a beautiful place to spend some time.
